John loves baseball. Really loves it. He says it’s the strategizing, the skill. The way that games are won on the strengths of the team over the long haul. And though he’s not the type to speak in sports metaphors, John might just admit that he describes his work at BaAM in much the same way.

John has run his own business, been his own boss. These days, he says he is happier working within a supportive team where, with careful planning and an understanding of the client’s vision, everyone contributes to the project’s success. That collaborative energy has rejuvenated John’s own creativity. He’s enjoying the many roles he plays on any given project: quickly visualizing a design concept; discussing how key stories can be conveyed through design; working with CAD detailers to translate sketches into shop drawings; communicating with shops to give drawings a three-dimensional reality; even supervising installation and ensuring that design intent is maintained.

You might say that these days, John feels he has hit one way out into the stands. But we won’t put words in his mouth. We’re just glad he has joined the team.
