Scaling logistical mountains to deliver an NBA-quality practice facility in record time
When the Toronto Raptors were unable to play their home games in Toronto due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they hired BaAM to create their 65,000 sq. ft. practice facility in Tampa, FL. Despite the “next-to-impossible” production schedule required to deliver the facility in two weeks’ time, BaAM:
- Replicated features from the team's OVO facility in Toronto
- Installed 2 basketball courts, coaches offices, a video room, weight room, training room, and locker rooms to create an NBA-quality facility
- Managed the load-in and build-out within a hotel technically still under construction
- Garnered international news coverage and praise from players and coaching staff
Before basketball courts were installed, Raptors president Masai Ujiri placed a Canadian $2 toonie under center court for good luck
